The internet is full of information. But to make information useful, you need knowledge. And local knowledge is second to none. For as long as I’ve had maps, I’ve marked them up. Green lines for good, red lines for bad. Comments and notes. Arrows for the best way. Stars for good places to stop.

Over the winter I’ve though hard about what I want to do with this knowledge. I could squirrel it away, create diversions, place smoke and mirrors. Protect The Forest as “mine”. But it’s not mine. It’s NRW land, there for everyone to enjoy. Knowledge is the key to success. And success is best shared.

As a director of Dyfi Mountain Biking.cic (the guardian of Climachx Trail), I’ve been working hard to gain permission to publish maps and open Dyfi further. This will take time, but the trails are there, waiting.

So, what do we have here?

A one-day event for fellow MTB guides (BC Level 2 minimum) to join me and learn some of the ins and out that will give their day in Dyfi the flow the clients remember. We will start at my house, pouring over maps with a decent coffee. Then we will hit the trails and find a vantage point to see the lie of the land for real. Finally, over tea and cake, we will discuss how to link it together to create exactly the day your clients are after.

The first course run on Monday March 30th. Places are limited to 4 people to keep the faff down and flow high.
